Lee Steck

Lee Steck was raised by wolves in the hills of Berkeley, California, which at the time seemed like the center of the universe. Music was a constant growing up, with the Dead, Sly and the Family Stone, Taj Mahal, Funkadelic, Mel Martin and Listen, and Chick Corea figuring prominently. Lee headed to southern California to improve his mind, which may or may not have actually happened. He certainly began to realize the world was a far, far bigger place than originally presumed.

 

Loves were found and lost, and dual passions of science and music spiraled ever upwards - the former landing him in Los Alamos and the latter in Santa Fe. When not hiking or rock climbing, Lee now spends much of his time developing his musical sensibilities on drums and vibraphone, writing tunes when the muse strikes and can no longer be ignored.
