Rob Heineman
Rob Heineman is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist born and raised in Flint, Michigan when the water was still good. You can find him spoofing his grandkids working on his micro-farm in Jacona, NM, building something in the shop, or volunteering as a Mayordomo on a 299-year-old Acequia. His musical interest began when he saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in the early 60’s. Already studied in classical piano, he moved to guitar and divorced his barber. A brass major in high school and college, he left school for the road and toured the Midwest in the 70’s as front man and keyboard/guitarist for a regional rock band. He relocated to Santa Fe in 1980 and set music aside for 10 years to have a family and start a business.
He jumped back in in 1990 and has played in local bands ever since. He subbed as a bass player for the Allman Brothers cover band, Fat Guys With Money in 1992 and fell in love with the low end. He toured with Julie Stewart and the MotorKings and played with the Ramon Bermudez Group off and on for 30 years. Current projects include upright bass for the rockabilly act DK and the Affordables, and guitarist/vocalist for the JB/EC Band.
