Keith McGuire

Keith McGuire is a man of low-end mystery from Big Spring, Texas. West Texas, that is, where cotton and football rule and Bob Wills is still the king. He plays bass and critiques the guitar playing in the JB/EC Band. After a dual career of restaurant proprietor and USPS letter carrier, Keith relocated to the City Different to try something, well, different. He is the rare local musician with an actual degree in music, from the University of Texas. He is also the only known bassist to write out an actual chart for “So You Want To Be A Rock’n’Roll Star.”

 

He is in charge of tuning for the JB/EC Band. He thinks it’s an honor, but it’s just because the other members wanted him to do something with his spare time.
